Photos We had the pleasure of entertaining our first South African guest. Elmirie Meyer was in NZ for a few weeks visiting her brother. I got the chance to see her a few times since her brother lives about 5 minutes from us. On about April 4th we had her over for supper and a good time was had by all...

Elmirie is a great South African artist (based in Pretoria) and if you are interested in having a look at her website, you can go to www.elmiriemeyer.co.za
Of course one of the highlights of the month was the fact that it was Easter. We had a lovely traditional Easter breakfast just like Ingrids Mom always does. That evening we made our way to the other highlight of the month - the David Gray concert. I bought the tickets for Ingrid's birthday, a bit early yes. The concert was amazing as I'm sure Steve & Lynn would be able to tell us after June 11. It was worth every penny!
I was never a David Gray fan really, but I am now. Ingrid, "on de udder hand Darren", has always been nuts about him!
Since we both work in the city, it has become a big part of our lives. The city greets us every morning as we drive over Harbour Bridge and it is always a beautiful picture. I have tried to do it justice with the photos I have taken, but I know I can do better. This is what I have for now though, until I can add more...

We decided to take a drive our north and see where we end up. We don't do this often enough because everytime we do, it take us to places like Sandrett Regional Park.
