Once a year, the company Ingrid works for, Baldwins, goes on a weekend skiing trip
to Mt. Ruapehu. Unfotunately, there was no skiing to be had as the weather was just
awful. So bad in fact that they closed the mountain to all skiing. There are 2 ski
resorts on the mountain (Whakapapa and Turoa) - we went to the one futher south,
being Turoa, and stayed in a town called Ohakune. So, the rest of the weekend was
spent chatting, reading, playing games and walking around town, which does not take
very long... We did go up to the ski resort though just to see what was happeneing
there. Not much was going on except very strong winds which just about blew Ingrid
accross the parking lot!
